Baby, It’s Cold Outside

We are beyond excited with the upcoming arrival of our sweet baby Valerie.

Last month we had our Maternity Pictures taken and  I couldn’t wait to share the pictures with all of you! I feel like most maternity pictures take place somewhere in the woods, or the beach, and while they are all beautiful in their own way, I wanted a different, special background for my baby bump and those of you who know me, know that I am a city girl through and through.

The inspiration for this photo shoot was our beautiful city of Atlanta. We decided we wanted to capture a bit of the city Val will soon call home so we donned on our fancy outfits and wandered into Midtown!

These gorgeous pictures are the fabulous work of Iris Bonet, {don’t forget to check her out}

Needless to say, the results were absolutely stunning! We started out at home so that we could have a few pictures with both our babies (fur and human) and then we picked a couple of landmarks in the city. The architecture and history were perfect, the lighting was even better… the weather, on the other hand, was not. You guys. We were absolutely frozen for all of these pictures!!! The wind chill was insane and we kept having to go inside every 5 minutes just so we could feel our nose and fingertips again, haha – special thanks go to my husband and, of course, Iris for being such troopers!

Here’s hoping that #BabyVal will follow in her mom’s footsteps and grow up to be a fabulous city girl ❤

Only a few more weeks to go until we meet our sweet girl!
